Norwich Arthritis Action Group

On 15th May 2019, Zoë spoke to the Norwich Arthritis Action Group members about exercising with arthritis. The session included some group work and trying out different exercises, as well as brainstorming ways we can incorporate exercises into our daily life.

East of England Osteopathic Conference

Zoë helped organise the inaugural East of England Osteopathic Conference held in Norwich on 9th February 2019. The event welcomed six speakers to discuss topics relevant to osteopaths and healthcare professionals to increase their knowledge and improve patient care. Following excellent feedback from delegates, there will be a second EEOC in 2020. Details about the next conference will be shared on the website.

National Ankylosing Spondylitis Society (NASS)

Seminar for Osteopaths and Chiropractors.

On 21st February 2018, Zoë gave a talk to osteopaths and chiropractors at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. Led by consultant rheumatologist Dr Karl Gaffney, the seminar aimed to update osteopaths and chiropractors on axial spondyloarthritis, reducing diagnosis times for patients and improving the referral pathway for investigations.

 

This is part of a partnership between NASS, the Institute of Osteopathy and the Royal College of Chiropractors. You can read Zoë’s blog post on the event here.

National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS)

talk for people living with Rheumatoid Arthritis.

On 13th June 2017, Zoë gave a talk to patients with rheumatoid arthritis and NRAS members at the James Paget Hospital, Great Yarmouth. Zoë discussed how osteopathy and naturopathy can help manage symptoms of inflammatory arthritis conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, as well as giving practical advice and techniques patients can use at home.
