ABOUT ZOË

My passion for Osteopathy was sparked from an early age after seeing my Mum’s back pain diagnosed and successfully treated by an Osteopath. I returned to East Anglia to work after completing my Masters Degree in Osteopathy and Diploma in Naturopathy at the British College of Osteopathic Medicine in London.

I enjoy treating adults of all ages for a wide range of conditions. I have a particular interest in combining my medical expertise with my own personal experiences to help people with chronic pain and autoimmune conditions.

Using Structural and Cranial Osteopathy, as well as medical acupuncture (dry needling), I always tailor treatments to your specific needs.

I am co-founder of Educate and Advocate Training, providing high quality education for healthcare professionals. Since March 2020 I have worked for the National Axial Spondyloarthritis Society on their Helpline and running sessions about self-management for axial SpA (AS).

In my role as Secretary of Norfolk Osteopathic Regional Society, I co-founded the East of England Osteopathic Conference. The 2020 conference is TBC due to on-going COVID-19 restrictions.

In my spare time I enjoy being active with walking in the countryside and doing yoga, as well as photography, making jewellery and the occasional baking! I also write regular blog posts to share my knowledge of and passion for health and wellbeing.

CONTINUED DEVELOPMENT

I am a member of the Institute of Osteopathy (IO), a professional membership organisation for Osteopaths. The IO aims to bring the profession together to improve knowledge, support individuals and promote Osteopathy as a safe and effective natural treatment.

In order to remain registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC), Osteopaths have to undertake a minimum requirement of Continued Professional Development each year. I take my commitment to continued learning seriously and plan my training so my knowledge is up to date with medical advances. I enjoy furthering my experience to provide the best care for patients that I can.

I am a member of the British Society for Spondyloarthritis (BRITSpA) and have worked with the National Axial Spondyloarthritis Society (NASS) and the IO on projects to improve care for people with Axial Spondyloarthritis (AxSpA/AS)

ARTHRITIS ACTION ASSOCIATED PRACTITIONER

I am registered with the charity Arthritis Action as an Associated Practitioner. Members of the charity can receive two free sessions with myself per year to discuss their arthritis, general wellbeing and long-term health goals. I will use my knowledge to help provide a plan for you to improve your health and work towards your goals using self-care techniques and tailored exercises. If it would be beneficial, I can include hands-on treatment during the sessions. For more information, please visit the Arthritis Action website or get in touch with me.
